Happening for the third year-round, Snehta is happy to announce the inauguration of its annual winter exhibition - Kypselian Salon - Back Home.

Snehta decided to showcase works from its depot and new art pieces from inspiring artists, in a virtual, three dimensional space to allow visitors to explore the works even at these difficult times where mobility and physical presence are limited.

The digital environment Snehta developed is based on its earliest exhibition setting; The Ag.Zonis 1 apartment in Kypseli; where for three consecutive years two artists, per every two months lived and worked in the space whilst using the apartment's living room as an exhibition space (2012 - 2015). The apartment continued to host artists between 2015- 2020, reaching a total number of 100 visual artists who arrived from 21 different countries and who had the opportunity to ultimately acquire a complete experience of ‘Deep Athens’, “Kypseli and the city centre”.

The virtual platform will allow visitors to explore works created by some of Athens’ most promising young artists, while they will have the opportunity to revisit the space - even digitally- and explore some of its ‘darkest recesses’ where traces of the near past will become apparent to highlight the unique environment in which artists developed new ideas and original artworks since 2012.

The works exhibited will be available for the third year in a row at surprisingly low prices. The digital platform will allow visitors to refer to our online shop while experiencing the works in their virtual hosting space. Revenues from exhibition sales will go solely towards Snehta’s operation and activities happening within the community of Kypseli.
