From May 25th until May 31th the gallery PS: at Communitism (Keramikou 28, Athens) is opening its last exhibition in the building. Vernissage is on the 25th of May 19.00pm. The artists Mona Lisa Ali and Batool Elhennawy present a transmedia installation as result of their 3 year lasting project on the relationship between image and space, form and representation and the places of production of our subjectivity in the daily life. Something Floating consists of a mural, a video work, and a sculpture installation, as three works that spill into each other. Asking questions on the availability and accessibility of (public) spaces and their representation this exhibition continues and concludes the lived discussion Communitism has led the past six years by creating a multifaceted space open to all that use it.

The subject of their work is a list of commons: Approaching archaeological sites, cultural archives, museums and urban environments the artists are excavating expressions of a feeling or an idea that float to the surface of our present. Through the focus on the in-betweens of those spaces and their codifications, they are asking what spaces are available to whom and how does the environment, including all the tiny and random objects inhabiting it, affect us as subjects.

We invite everyone for this thought stirring exhibition, let yourself be immersed in this fusion of space and art
