The exhibition entitled " *cringe* " invites you to delve into the fascinating world of digital culture and more specifically into cringe itself. A concept with multiple implications, understandings at the same time a concept that has managed to unite various identities of people who are disparate from each other. Cringe has become a central element of online culture and the exhibition aims to explore this complex and universal feeling. From mixed media installations to immersive video art, the exhibition aspires to spark thoughts influenced by our contemporary digital and physical existence.
The works of Aram Bartholl, Kristen Leo, Marsunev, Bill Posters & Daniel Howe, Noura Tafeche and Aphrodite HGW, create a familiar chaos that the viewer is invited to put in order to gain a deeper understanding of their current human identity. At the same time, they approach and redefine a plethora of social dynamics, inviting the audience to take an equally critical approach to the digital and non-digital reality they experience.
