They consider the street and the sidewalks as a possible excavation site in the distant future: Broken marble curbs, deformed paving and cracked slabs of various kinds, improvised, glued back together or even cut street posts, bent street signs, cast iron caps and pipes, forgotten chains, padlocks and trinkets could be then findings and their wear perhaps the object of an archaeological study.
